Harold D. Whitten currently serves as the Director of Commercial Real Estate Development at Crimson Building Company, LLC. with projects being proposed in Texas, Colorado, and Florida. Over the past 32-years, as a commercial real estate executive and owner, Harold has participated in development, redevelopment, and tenant improvement projects exceeding $600 million. Prior to forming Hilltop Capital in 2006 and joining Crimson Building Company, LLC in 2015 Harold served as Vice President of Operations at Independent American Corp. and Burk Collins & Co. Inc. There he provided leadership and direction to the development, construction, management & leasing of over 4.6 million square feet of real estate throughout Texas and Oklahoma. This represents a variety of retail shopping centers, industrial parks, apartments, town homes, class-A office buildings, medical office buildings and residential subdivisions. He excels in site location, acquisitions, development, finance, project management, construction, asset management, lease management, and property dispositions. Additionally, Harold has developed tenant and lease negotiation relationships with scores of national, regional, and local tenants.
Harold possesses a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He is a self-starter becoming the first in his family to attend college. After 4 years of military service he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a major in Accounting from Hardin-Simmons University. He considers his finance acumen a key factor in his success as a real estate developer. Furthermore, Harold’s background includes senior management positions in banking, healthcare, bookkeeping services, aircraft sales & services, mortgage banking, asset management, and church administration. The values he embraces are family, Christian principles, integrity, loyalty, and his driving work ethic. He has been married to his wife for 48 years with 2 children and 6 grandchildren. Furthermore, Harold commits to those he leads, serves, and has affiliations with that he will take a pragmatic and results oriented approach in utilizing all resources available to him to protect and enhance the interest of all parties.
